Izumo Japan

Chris has been in Japan for close to a month now. He is completely over rice and sushi by this time. He is adjusting at a normal pace from what he is told. The company that he signed on with was bought out by another company and this company isn't holding to the commitments agreed upon for his teaching position. Can you imagine being on the other side of the planet and things totally taking a twist like this. Ill pass but Im a country girl at heart and the other side of the planet isn't what interests me.

Chris wound up in a resort town called Izumo. Because Japan is so vastly populated one of the concerns was landing in Tokyo and trying to adjust to the gagillion people and how they travel in the many many trains/subways etc.. I tried to google it on the map but of course every thing then wanted to come up in Japanese so I was LOST at that point. Izumo is a resort town so it is far less populated and easier to get around.

We have gotten great fun out of the pictures Chris sent. We speculated that Chris would be odd in and off itself because he is over 6 ft. He has said that isn't the case but the funny part about this is the bathrooms are built for smaller people and you can see by the height of his shower stall and the short height of the toilet that most people aren't above 5'5 and the bathrooms accomodate the height. Notice the sink is located on the back of the toilet seat. What is up with that?
